Dobson Construction were successful in being awarded these works on the basis of a competitive tender. The works include alterations to an existing Grade II listed building and re-configuring to form nine apartments out of the six current units and a full overall of the existing accommodation to meet current standards. With the property being a Grade II listed building the works needed to be undertaken in a sympathetic manner.

Construction commenced October 2015 and is programmed for completion May 2016.

Construction commenced October 2015 and was programmed for completion May 2016, these works resulted in being shortlisted for the Inside Housing Best Development Awards – in the Affordable Development (Rural) category which were held in London.

A brief description of the works are as follows:

  • Internal and external demolitions and alterations

  • Roof works and repairs
  • First and second fix joinery
  • Repointing and stonework repairs

  • New internal and external doors and windows including secondary aluminium glazing
  • Plastering and acoustic improvements
